STIRLING CYCLE

-

The Striling cycle is four operations.

The gas being cold and kept cold, is compressed. This is the compression operation.

The compressed gas is heated to a constant volume. This is the temperature raising operation.

As the gas has been compressed and heated, it has its maximum pressure to push the piston. The engine is in the driving phase.

To be able to start the cycle again, the gas must be cooled to a constant volume. This is the cooling operation.
